Mrs. PLW dragged me to Costco yesterday afternoon. It was chilly in NoVa, I pictured standing in a grim line outside, keeping six feet of separation as they let us in one at a time, as people left at the same rate.
But no; there was no line to get in; the place was the least crowded I've ever seen it, there seemed to be plenty of everything, except pork belly, alas.
Almost everyone was wearing a mask. Mrs. PLW had made batches of them, some to donate, but also for us. I chose a flowery pink patterned one, because why not, who's going to laugh and why should I care.
Earlier we had filled up the gas tank at Safeway; with their "points" discount, we paid $.99 per gallon.

Strange days, indeed.
Hang in there, Fred, the work will come back.
Poor Italy, they only have The Puma Man.
I've been wearing dusk masks from Home Depot -- shh, don't tell anyone.
I found a vintage N95 mask today in the painting supplies. At least years old, but in near mint condition.
